They are now raising their three daughters. They run a few businesses in town and love the community and finding ways to give back. Her primary job is with the Weatherford Church of Christ and she loves it! Photography has been a love since high school and quickly became her side job. She wants nothing more than everyone to have the same opportunity to have those special memories and milestones to share with future generations.
The past few years, she has had the opportunity to meet and photograph hundreds of families, seniors, children, adoptions, and anniversary sessions, and other special events all over western and central Oklahoma. I truly cherish every opportunity and every image. She started working with Step Up several years ago-can’t recall what year. She just wanted to be able to give back with what she knew she could do.
Her favorite quote- “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me". ~Erma Bombeck

Sorelle - The Meadow on Deer Creek
A lifelong resident of Western Oklahoma, Wendy grew up just north of Weatherford on our family's farm. She graduated from Custer City public schools in 1985 and from SWOSU in 1989. Shortly after, she met her husband, Allen, and they raised two beautiful daughters together. Allen and Wendy have invested their lives in several local businesses with the latest being Sorelle - The Meadow on Deer Creek Weddings and Events.
Sorelle, an Italian word meaning "sisters", is a family affair that has expanded to employ many others in the community - something Wendy is particularly passionate about - the success of our community!
Along with beautiful weddings, anniversary parties, birthday parties and other events, Sorelle is used by several non-profits that serve the area. One that Wendy holds most dear to her heart is Step Up Transitional Living Program. Wendy's heart will always be in Western Oklahoma and supporting the local organizations, and resources available for the people here. It is one of the biggest joys in her life! She has a passion for people, animals, and making the most of every beautiful day - wedding days included, of course!
Wendy tells us "For as long as Sorelle is serving the great people of Oklahoma, it will serve the volunteers and youth in the Step Up Transitional Living Program in whatever capacity they need." She encourages everyone to help out where they can and to focus on the step that is right in front of them.
"There's nothing you can't accomplish and no greater feeling than stepping up! We all win when we lift each other up!" ~Wendy McSparrin
